Who we are
WP Includes was founded by Siobhan McKeown and Francesca Marano. Disappointed by the lack of representation of women in leadership roles at companies in the WordPress ecosystem we’ve decided to do something about it.
Our Mission
We want to drastically increase representation of women in leadership roles at WordPress companies. We will do this by mentoring and supporting women to take the next step in their careers.
Our Founders
Siobhan McKeown is COO of Human Made, an enterprise WordPress development agency.
She has experience in People Operations and Operations at Director and Executive level. She is one of the founders of WordCamp Europe, has led the WordPress documentation project, and written a book about the history of the WordPress project.
She’s passionate about supporting more women into leadership roles, both in and outside the WordPress ecosystem.
Francesca Marano is the Director of Engineering Learning and Growth at XWP, an enterprise WordPress development agency.
With a career spanning over twenty years, she has experience in managing people, processes, finances, and projects both large and small. She is an accomplished educator, community leader, mentor, and public speaker.
She led four WordPress releases, she manages managers and mentors emerging leaders.
